FOUNDATION HALLS THE PURSUIT OF EXCELLENCE When my wife, Janet, and I started our insurance company in 1976 we had a core mission to be “an organization committed to the pursuit of excellence in an effort to bring honor and glory to God.” I see this same core value at University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center and it is one of the Francis X. Kelly Jr. reasons I am so delighted to be chairman of the operating board. I know about quality in health care and I am also well aware of the importance of a strong Foundation to support that quality. Janet and I take tremendous delight in seeing our gifts make a difference. We’ve supported many worthy causes but know that without the blessing of good health, life can be extremely challenging.
