I will always remember the feeling of community,
and that comes from a lot of sources. Welcoming
students back to campus each fall with a picnic
was enjoyable, and they seemed to like being
served by me and other senior administrators.
In athletics, we worked hard to regain our status as
a top-level Big Sky program, so beating Montana
in football and basketball were definitely highlights.
Commencements, with so many happy students
and families, were gratifying and rewarding. Finally,
the campus celebration held on May 6, where I
had a chance to say thank you and goodbye, was
a truly meaningful event with a genuine outpouring
of good wishes.
