It's creating these lifelong memories for families that has fueled our latest project: a renewed Ritz Kids program. Working with Jean-Michel Cousteau's Ocean Futures Society, The Ritz-Carlton has created something really special for our youngest guests. I frequently travel alone for work, but sometimes, I am able to share the experience with my family - so much so that I sometimes worry that my kids are becoming a little spoiled: Miami, Key Biscayne, Boston, Naples, Sarasota ... the list goes on. Still, I know that as much as travel is a privilege, it is also a transformative experience that opens minds and creates memories. Our most memorable family trip was to San Juan, Puerto Rico, with our extended family. We enjoyed mornings at the beach and explored Old San Juan in the afternoons, wandering the cobblestone streets together and feeling away from it all - the greatest luxury of all. Whenever we stay at a Ritz-Carlton hotel, my kids cannot wait to check in and see what goodies await them in our room (see "spoiled" comment). On a recent trip to Manhattan, the staff at The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park overheard us say that Liv, my 6-year-old daughter, was heading out to see "Cinderella" on Broadway that evening.
