Tony Lam and Tina Ho had known each other for a while, but weren't exactly smitten. "He thought I wore too much makeup and I thought he was obnoxious," says Tina. But one day that all changed. After running into each other by chance, they later met for coffee and talked for hours. Tina fell in love with Tony that very day. Maui held particular signiﬁcance for the pair. It was where they ﬁrst vacationed as a couple, and they knew saying their vows in the magical setting would be special. The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua was a natural choice. "We wanted an intimate wedding and a long celebration," says Tina. "A destination wedding accomplished all of it." The couple had a clear vision: to combine the island's natural beauty with his modern tastes and her vintage ﬂair - and the bride made every detail of the décor by hand, from the escort cards to the farewell confetti. "The resort met our needs fully," she says. "Thanks to their amazing team, we were able to create our dream wedding." The duo said their vows on the Beach House Lawn before 75 guests and an endless ocean. The reception continued inside a clear tent with the bright stars shining above. "The best part was being able to connect with our family and friends after the wedding," says Tina.
