OUT OF THE WHITE COAT Happy Patient, Happy Doctor Ob-Gyn and robotic surgery specialist ﬁnds inspiration in the people he treats N athan Mordel, MD, is a board-certiﬁed obstetrician and gynecologist who specializes in advanced robotic and laparoscopic gynecologic surgery. With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Mordel performs a variety of procedures for women, including those requiring the precision of robotic technology, at Gwinnett Medical Center–Duluth. Born in Vilnius, Lithuania, he attended medical school at Hadassah Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Upon graduation, he completed his internship and residency at Hadassah Hebrew University Medical Center. He later came to the United States, where he continued his medical training at Emory University Hospital. Dr. Mordel is an active member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and the Georgia Obstetrical and Gynecological Society. He serves as a clinical assistant professor of gynecology and obstetrics at Emory University and Medical College of Georgia. He is ﬂuent in English, Lithuanian, Hebrew and Russian. In his spare time, Dr. Mordel likes to unwind with his family and engage in his many hobbies: hiking, listening to classical music, geography and cycling.
