A recent survey asked community managers: Do you think it is helpful to you and/or your management company if your association board members also belong to CAI? Almost three out of four said yes. Some explained why:
“They receive (CAI) materials to educate them. The ones who read it have a better understanding of what is expected of them, their vendors and management. I do see board (members) who take CAI seriously being more involved without trying to micromanage.” “CAI membership validates our commitment to professional, knowledgeable community management. I regularly recruit area associations to CAI, as we can progress together for the benefit of our property owners and communities.” “Our experience has been that clients who are CAI members and, at a minimum, read the industry publications they receive, are substantially better informed and make better decisions than clients who aren’t CAI members.” CAI offers a number of membership options for homeowners, including individual, partial and full board packages.
