homes. Pressure washing is a simple
and cost effective way to spruce up
the exterior of a building and increase
its curb appeal. It's also a great way to
help increase the lifespan of the existing siding.
Why wait for summer? The arrival
of spring is a great time to give your
landscaper a call to start looking at trees
you may need removed as well as any
pruning needs or cleanup leftover from
the fall. It's also a chance to discuss the
summer upkeep and grounds care plan
for the association.
Spring is also an excellent opportunity to get the owners of your
communities thinking about updates
to their homes. Use this time to discuss
window and door replacement as well
as rot repairs and any other "warmer
weather" projects that they might have
in mind. New windows and doors are
a great way to help increase the value
of the home and the first half of May is
the leading time for home listings (with
homes listed during this time typically
selling for 1 percent more than average).
Remember to recommend new construction style windows as they give the
installer a chance to find any rot around
the window that may be hidden. With
replacement style windows, the old
windows would be removed with new
models that fit into their place. In this
case you would not see the rot, which
can end up costing much more than
budgeted if not addressed in a timely
manner.
Whether it is safety, better efficiency,
or cosmetic improvement, the spring
with its warmer weather and longer
days is a great time to shake off the winter confines and get started on property
upkeep and maintenance.
