BOARD EXCELLENCE IN COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP
FISHERMAN'S WATCH CONDOMINIUM,SWAMPSCOTT, MA
The Fisherman's Watch Condominium board was applauded
and presented the Board Excellence in Community Leadership
award for its decision-making process, support to residents,
and boldness to take action when needed.
Its in-depth research and commitment to installing electric
vehicle charging stations for residents of this 28-unit association
resulted in completion of the project utilizing available rebates
and other funding with no expense to the association.
Other resident-focused projects included a volunteer
developed and maintained association website that continues
to provide useful and updated information about the property.

COMMUNITY PROGRAMS & EVENTS
SOUTHPORT ON CAPE COD, MASHPEE, MA
The Member Communications Award and the Community Programs
& Events Award were presented to Southport on Cape Cod - a
gated, age-qualifi ed, active adult community consisting of 750 private
homes. The awards recognized the innovative and ongoing programs
of this community that keep its 1,200 residents informed and engaged.
In the wake of pandemic, the community " realizing they had
a responsibility to keep residents both safe and well informed,
created several new platforms, which would not only meet this
need but move the association into the future. " These digital communication
platforms included a branded weekly email communication,
a resident-run website, and new online virtual platforms
for committee and board meetings as well as elections.
In addition to fully interactive hybrid meetings, " throughout
2021, the board and management gradually restored the robust
program of in-person events with a phased approach. " Evaluating
levels of risk associated with each of the community's amenities
and activities, the four-phased approach included safety protocols
based on CDC, state, and local COVID mandates.

Recognizing an association volunteer for their
efforts in seeking out opportunities to improve
their association and community, the Community
Association Volunteer of the Year award was
presented to Bruce Hardy, a member of the
Spyglass Hill Condominium board for 15 years.
A fellow board member nominating Hardy
noted that he " serves selfl essly and with the
highest level of professionalism. Always fair
to each resident, he consistently delivers
results with outstanding diplomatic manners. "
