CED's Desk WWW.CAINE.ORG MAINTAINING COMMUNITIES AND COMMUNITY W 4 CONDOMEDIA August 2022 hile this may be August and the lazy, hazy days of summer, communities around New England are being proactive in their building and grounds maintenance programs. This month Condo Media spotlights trending industry challenges in post pandemic maintenance and offers best practices in developing a maintenance checklist for your community. While association board members and managers address ongoing community maintenance, CAI-NE board members, chapter committee members and staff consider ongoing chapter maintenance and programming. Over the next several weeks, chapter volunteer leaders will evaluate programming as well as member benefits and resources making modifications as necessary. Chapter governance and organizational planning will be addressed for the coming year as committee members and chairs assume various leadership roles; new board members are appointed to the Condo Media board and chapter members are called upon to elect new volunteers to the CAI-NE board; Legislative Action Committee (LAC) delegates and delegates-at-large will be approved by the CAI national president; chapter committee budgets will be established; ... and so much more. And while Condo Media includes in this issue the annual fall/winter maintenance directory as a starting point in maintaining communities, the chapter in turn seeks from CAI members the resources of volunteer time and industry expertise as a starting point in its search for new leaders to maintain a strong chapter community. While you're enjoying these lazy, hazy days, I encourage you to take a moment to think about the important role you can play in maintaining CAI-NE community in the coming year. See you in September! Sincerely, Claudette Carini Chapter Executive Directorhttp://WWW.CAINE.ORG
