WHAT PROMPTED YOU TO BECOME INVOLVED WITH CAI? Our fi rm is very active in the chapter and I wanted to be part of CAI. When I moved away from insurance to defense, I was very new to the condominium industry. CAI serves as a resource and is one of the ways that I'm able to interact with the whole industry and learn from other people's experiences. There are trends in condominiums, and being able to share, relate, and problem solve together is key. IS THERE ONE PARTICULAR PERSONAL OR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE THAT HAS HAD A PROFOUND IMPACT ON YOU? Not really. My life experience as a whole has shaped me into who I am. It's all about how you handle the experiences that are thrown at you. Each experience teaches you how to move forward and learn what you would do differently - or not - the next time. IF YOU COULD HAVE LUNCH WITH SOMEONE LIVING OR DEAD, WHO WOULD IT BE? Ruth Bader Ginsberg. I'd like to listen to her stories and learn about her experiences as a progressive woman in the law, not to mention hear her thoughts and refl ections on her tenure. WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME? I am a volunteer for my town's conservation commission and I'm the mother of two daughters. I spend my free time with my family, whether it's going up to the mountains or down to the beach. I do the best I can to enjoy weather-appropriate New England activities. WHAT WOULD IT SURPRISE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU? I SPENT MY SUMMERS GROWING UP ON THE BACK OF MY DAD'S LOBSTER BOAT IN A SMALL COASTAL TOWN IN NEW HAMPSHIRE. WHAT'S THE BESTADVICE YOU'VE GOTTEN? I've been told my whole life to slow down and take my time. I tend to speak and think a mile a minute; better results are achieved by slowing down and going through the process. ANYTHING ELSE YOU WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU? I'm an approachable person. I really feel that things should be equitable and fair, and I try to be a humanitarian through the natural confl ict that comes with being an advocate.
