PRESiDENT’S MESSAGE
Town hall 2012
Halloween and Politics – Spooky!
looks like another popular Town hall.
When the doors open for the AAIA Town Hall breakfast on Halloween, it will be six days and counting before voters decide who will be the next president. Political pundits Terry McAuliffe and Dan Bartlett will share their insights and spar on key issues. They promise to make predictions about who will win the election and what it will mean to the economy, the nation, politics and our industry. Tim Rogers, Polk president, will once again present the popular annual “Five Trends in Five Minutes” with data and analysis about the top trends impacting the aftermarket.
Expect to hear what the OEMs are doing through globalization and technology advances that might keep aftermarket executives up at night. And no Town Hall would be complete without some eye-opening trends on consumer buying habits. Danielle Russell, Google’s automotive industry director, will mine exclusive Google data and analysis to reveal emotions, interests and influences as consumers shop for automotive maintenance products and services online. Did you know that Google sends more than 40 million visits to parts and service websites every month? Look forward to seeing you at the AAIA Town Hall and AAPEX.
