Making an Impact
“Up to the point in my career when
I joined TRICO in 2009, I had been
focused on marketing/selling vehicles,”
said Danielle Orlando, marketing
manager, aftermarket, Trico Products.
“When I learned Trico Products was hiring
an aftermarket marketing manager, I was
intrigued by entering an industry that
focuses on the drivers of those vehicles
and their safety behind the wheel.”
Orlando, winner of a 2012 AAIA
Impact Award, started her career in the
automotive industry on the advertising
agency side, managing automotive
accounts/brand, then moving to the OEM
side of the business at Audi of America.
“I no longer sell cars. Now I sell
‘visibility, safety and driver control,”
said Orlando. “My 3.5 years in the
aftermarket have been exciting and I look
forward to contributing to the progress
of the industry in years to come.”
As TRICO aftermarket marketing
manager, she is responsible for not
only managing all North American
TRICO marketing communications,
but also establishing TRICO as a
category management leader with their
customers through comprehensive
category analysis and product/
planogram strategy development.
Involved with AAIA since 2012, Orlando
said, “AAIA is extremely instrumental
in providing a forum for industry
education, technology/innovations,
legislation and market intelligence. The
resources, information and benefits that

Always pursuing new avenues to evolve
both personally and professionally,
Orlando plans to increase her category
management skills by pursuing a Silver
certification with Delta Associates,
and hopes to become more actively
involved in the AAIA committees and
Car Care Council Women’s Board.

Orlando holds a bachelor’s of science
degree in business from Miami University.
If this avid animal-lover weren’t in
the aftermarket industry, she “would
probably be pursuing a dream to open
my own pet therapy/daycare center with
my friends – including door-to-door
bus transportation to/from.” When not
working, Orlando spends time with
her family, friends and two German
Shorthair Pointers – Bailey and Decker.
