Additionally, AAPAC will be giving a pin to any member not on the Board of Directors who has otherwise made a qualifying contribution in 2009. AAPAC is a critical component of AAIA’s aggressive government affairs effort to effectively communicate its position on issues affecting the automotive aftermarket before federal legislators. AAPAC contributions require a member company’s prior written approval and are voluntary, personal contributions from AAIA member company employees. All funds contributed to AAPAC are contributed to candidates for federal office who understand and support the automotive aftermarket. Contributions are made on a non-partisan basis. the 365 Club is open to all members of aaia and is a great illustration of how simple it can be to grow aaia’s influence on the hill when a number of members make a collective effort to make contributions to aaPaC — even if that contribution is as modest as a single dollar per day. Would investing a dollar a day in the future of your company and the industry be a worthwhile use of your money? That is the question that AAIA Chairman Jerry O’Pry, Blue Magic, Inc., posed in September to the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) Board of Directors meeting held in Boston, Mass.
