Aircraft Financing 2011: Expanding Liquidity Meets More Deliveries While it won’t see the return of the great liquidity of 2005-2007, the industry overall will have adequate availability of reasonably priced capital. Here, Boeing Next-Generation 737s are seen in production on the company’s “moving line” in Renton, Washington, near Seattle. During 2010, the company delivered 376 Next Gens and increased its order backlog for the popular twinjet to 2,186 by year-end. Boeing has announced a series of production rate increases throughout its product line to meet increasing customer airplane demand. The 737 production rate will grow to 35 per month in early 2012 and 38 per month the second quarter of 2013 as airlines look to replace older airplanes with new, more fuel-efficient equipment.
