ISTAT Board Approves ISTAT Farnborough Airshow Chalet
In an effort to enhance ISTAT’s networking offerings and increase the overall value of membership, the ISTAT Board of Directors has approved the investment into a Private Business Chalet at the 2012 Farnborough International Airshow. The Chalet will offer a convenient setting for quick meetings as well as the opportunity to mingle with other ISTAT members in attendance at the Airshow. Guests will have a great view of the static air exhibits as well as fantastic views of the daily airshow. Plans also include a special family day which will be Friday, 13 July—this is the perfect occasion to bring the family to experience the Airshow from the comfort of the Chalet. Open daily from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., the Chalet will serve light sandwiches, beer and wine. Space is limited. Visit the ISTAT website for registration details.

Bylaws Change to Article VI Elections – Section 1
In order to expand voting opportunities to active members who are unable to make it to ISTAT Americas & Annual Meeting, the ISTAT Board of Directors has approved changes to the organization’s bylaws. Under these changes, among other things, voting will be electronic and will be open to all active members, deﬁned as those who have attended one or more ISTAT conferences in the past 13 months. Voting will begin 14 days prior to the Annual Meeting and conclude on the ﬁnal day of the annual meeting. Members will have the opportunity to vote online, or at designated computers at ISTAT Americas. The full text of the revised bylaws are available on the ISTAT website.

ISTAT Announces Electronic Voting for Direct Elections
The ISTAT Board of Directors approved electronic elections for directors. In the past, only those members who attended the ISTAT Annual Meeting were eligible to participate in the election process. This year’s election of directors will be the ﬁrst time all active members can participate in the process. Voting will commence fourteen (14) days prior to ISTAT Americas and on the ﬁnal day of ISTAT Americas with only those members who have been Active in the Society being eligible to vote. Please note that ISTAT Americas takes place 18-20 March. An electronic ballot area will be available at ISTAT Americas for those who do not vote prior to the conference. Electronic voting machines will be located near the registration desk.

Digital format of Membership Connections Available in 2012
In addition to the print version of our annual directory, Membership Connections, ISTAT is excited to announce that the directory also will be available in a digital format beginning in March for the 2011 edition and June for the 2012 edition.
