ISTAT foundation As your chairman, I am pleased to report that through your generosity the ISTAT Foundation will move forward with our Scholarship Program once again this year. Despite the tough economic times, the valued members of our association have stepped up to the plate and once again funded this invaluable program. Hats off to our 2009 Roundtable Members for their unending support! Without you, this valuable initiative could not take place. During the most recent ISTAT Annual Meeting, I hope you had the opportunity to visit with some of the 2008 scholarship recipients to see how we have positively impacted their lives through our efforts. Many of them will long remember the contributions you have made to their lives and careers in aviation. One of my major goals for the 2009 Scholarship Program is to expand our efforts to include a more global outreach of our efforts. To accomplish this, I am asking for your help in submitting contact information for speciﬁc universities the world over that you feel could beneﬁt from this program. Our plans are to begin contacting universities in our database in mid summer to announce the program and invite them to submit candidates for scholarships. Please send university contact information directly to Dana Henninger at dhenninger@istat.org. I also want to take a minute to provide you with an update on the recently announced initiative we are calling Project G. Under the direction of Bob Brown, this program to help facilitate humanitarian aid to countries around the world is beginning to take shape. Bob and his team have been working hard behind the scenes to make this vision a reality. We have received numerous positive responses from many of our members who are on board with their support. If all goes well, we hope to have a test market of this program available in the last quarter of this year. David P.
