However, as we know, the industry is very cyclical and that means that it won’t stay like this forever. Thank you all! As many of you know, the strategic plan of ISTAT includes expanding and emphasizing the “I” in ISTAT. To that end, we just completed our second ISTAT Management Exchange in conjunction with Purdue University and the Civil Aviation University of China. This was a three-day workshop in Shanghai chaired by Peter Huijbers and Roland Moore. The Exchange was sponsored by AerCap, Aeroservice Aviation Center, AVITAS, BOC Aviation, DVB Bank, FedEx Express, Intrepid Aviation and Nordcapital Aviation. The desire is to grow this into a full conference, like we do in the U.S. and Europe. The workshop format of the ISTAT China Management Exchange is an ideal way to build the ISTAT brand in China. We covered many topics, including aircraft leasing, aircraft valuation, the freighter market and the ﬁnancial market. The event resulted in several new members and we hope to continue to develop this event and increase our presence in this dynamic and quickly growing segment of the aviation market.
