Who's Who

DH Hospitality Group hired two new
project managers: Kaitlin Piraro,
based in Austin, and Genevieve
Hochheimer in Manassas, Virginia.
Wilson Associates, together with
the Los Angeles design
community, raised a record $90,000
for the Wilson Foundation at the 17th
annual Point of Excellence awards
luncheon this year. The awards
went to Tony Hang of TOTO USA for
outstanding vendor representative
and JLF Collections for outstanding
company. Money raised goes
directly to the foundation, which
helps disadvantaged children in
South Africa.

DAC Art Consulting appointed
Karrie Drinkhahn as vice president
of business development.
Drinkhahn joins DAC from
the Gettys Group, where she
contributed to the design and
leadership teams for 16 years, most
recently as the principal overseeing
global business development,
marketing, and public relations.

Melanie Murata, recipient of the
2014 NEWH FR-One scholarship,
graduated with her master's in
interior design from Florida State
University.

Michael Schneider, Boutique Design (left, pilot) and Brian Orter, Brian
Orter Lighting Design (right, co-pilot) rescued 10 dogs facing imminent
death in July and transported them to a no-kill shelter in Connecticut
in July to be adopted by loving families as part of the Pilots N Paws
program.

Signature Hospitality Carpets
announces the addition of Kim
Swanson of KD Swanson, as sales
agent for Maryland, Washington,
DC, and Virginia. Swanson brings
with her 15 years of prior carpet
experience.

Jaimie Lebovic of John Celli Custom
Furniture Designs married Bryan
Hochman in August.

Bernhardt Hospitality, a division of
Bernhardt Furniture, hired Debbie
McKelvey as manager of strategic
accounts. 
Francie Kelley and Paragone
Gallery announce the completion
of an art program for the La Quinta
Resort & Club, a historic property
built in 1926 in La Quinta, California.
Kelley was also named one of Los
Angeles' top five singer/songwriters
in 2014 by CBS LA.

Joyce H. Gertz, 87, West Coast
regional manager of home
furnishings source Decorators Walk,
passed away at her home in Los
Angeles on March 4th.

Merry Landis, owner of Fine Art
Resources, is supplying artwork by
regional artists for Lehigh Valley
Health Network's new building-
One City Center in Allentown,
Pennsylvania. The hospital not
only supports local artists but is
also helping transform downtown
Allentown.

Glenn NP Nowak has been
appointed to the position of
graduate coordinator at the
UNLV School of Architecture. The
school's NAAB-accredited Master
of Architecture degree includes
concentrations in building science,
education facilities research, and
hospitality design. He will continue
to lead the hospitality design studio.

The winning design, Let Them Eat
Cake by Gensler (pictured) of the
NEWH 2014 Hospitality Fashion
Challenge at BDwest. Design
teams created a garment and one
accessory from a box of "material
ingredients" provided by BDwest
exhibitors. 

Tara Shannon joined Natalie
Sheedy Interiors.
Kennedy Frierson, COO of the Dixie
Group announces the purchase
of substantially all of the assets of
Burtco Enterprises, and welcomes
Burtco associates to the Dixie Group.

Interior designer Meredith Fuhrer
joined the Cuningham Group and
relocated to Las Vegas.

Sandra Brumbaugh added
CM Hospitality Carpets to
her product offerings in
Washington and Oregon.
