Northwest

In April, the chapter had its first ever Urban Hike tour for both members
and non-members. The event began with a panel of local
designers, architects, and chefs at the Starbucks Roastery
& Tasting Room in Seattle to discuss neighborhoodspecific design trends. Then, armed with trail mix survival
goodie bags provided by Karndean Design Flooring, each
tour group set off on their adventure through the city's
trendy Capitol Hill neighborhood. Thanks to the sponsors,
including featured sponsor TRI-KES.

In March, more than 150 people took part in the membership drive at
Top Golf, registering 23 new members. A few fun
awards were handed out: best costume went
to Flick Mars, sponsored by Diane Hachtman/
Fabric Innovations, and highest score went to
Chap Smith of KSM Design Source. Thanks to the
sponsors and all who continue to support the
growing chapter.

The chapter hosted its annual scholarship fundraiser and awards gala
in December at the Congo room at L.A. Live. Congratulations to all the
scholarship recipients.
