Project Wyndham Grand Hunt Valley Saddle Up A Maryland hotel gets a classic American upgrade C onceived by spice purveyor McCormick and its development company Maryland Properties in 1965, the 392-key Wyndham Grand Hunt Valley sits amidst an area in Maryland well known for rolling hills and horse farms. When Omaha-based Leo A Daly arrived at the scene, charged with infusing the resort and conference center with a classic American feel, they encountered bright colors and modern furniture that seemed dated and placeless. "We started by taking inspiration from the old Hunt Valley logo, which was the silhouette of a horse," says Patricia Miller, the design firm's vice president, managing principal, and corporate director Top: Designers achieved the look of an intimate manor home in the library.
