BDNY

More than 6,900 hospitality design professionals
took part in the seventh Boutique Design New
York (BDNY) trade fair and conference, held
Nov. 13-14 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention
Center. The event charted a 19 percent increase
in attendance over the 2015 fair: exhibit space
grew by 37 percent to 112,000 net square feet,
showcasing 615 manufacturers and marketers
of furniture, fixtures, lighting, seating, wall
coverings, accessories, and other design
elements for hospitality interiors.
On the tradeshow floor, Innovative Designed
Spaces gave attendees and exhibitors a place to
connect in areas created by some of the bestknown design firms in the industry, and as always,
there were plenty of networking opportunities,
from the reception to the NEWH Green Voice
sessions, the BD/ISHP Owners Grill, and the
gala that recognizes the winners and finalists
of the year's Gold Key Award for Excellence in
Hospitality Design.
Sister show BDWest will take place at the Los
Angeles Convention Center on April 5 - 6, 2017.

HD Expo
Celebrating its 26th year, HD Expo,
the industry's largest and most
preeminent tradeshow, will include
more than 800 exhibitors spanning
270,000 square feet of tradeshow
space. Held from May 3 - 5, 2017
at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas,
the show will feature innovative
products and services, new ideas,
and great networking opportunities
for hospitality professionals.
This year is no exception. New
York-based Rockwell Group will design
HD's Social Hub, with the help of sponsors
Aceray, Astek, Artline Group, Ego Paris, Shaw
Hospitality Group, and Sunbrella. In addition
to three NEWH Green Conversations, here
