What have you found to be most valuable about your NEWH involvement, both
personally and professionally?

NEWH has been an amazing experience and has pushed me to grow and become a leader
and mentor. Whether it is event planning, public speaking, budgeting, or mentoring-these
are areas that NEWH has helped me to develop with structured support, systems, and
training programs.

Why do you recommend people get involved with NEWH?

NEWH connects you to the pulse of the industry. Planning events and attending NEWH
functions builds teamwork and allows you to connect to the industry. I have been able to
grow professionally and personally making valuable lifetime friends from around the world
that I can reach out to for advice or to share a laugh or source information in our industry.
If you ever need a reminder what NEWH brings to you or others, just watch the latest
scholarship video for that feel-good reward that you can be proud to be associated with
being part of NEWH and what we have achieved and continue to aspire to.

What is your proudest recent NEWH accomplishment?

I am very proud to have been a part of NEWH's international growth. I have been very
involved with the ongoing success of NEWH Canada Inc. The Toronto chapter and
Vancouver regional group are both very strong with great people in each area. We are also
currently building NEWH membership in Paris and Milan. We are planning NEWH events in
Paris for January and Milan during Salone del Mobile.Milano in April. Good things to come
internationally in these areas-all based on the wonderful success in U.S. over the last
35 years!

What are you most looking forward to?

I am very excited to be stepping into the NEWH presidency role as of January 2020,
following some pretty impressive individuals who have held this position. I appreciate the
mentorship and support of the past presidents and NEWH, Inc. team to assist me with this
new position. I am working to bring my best to this role as the first International President
of NEWH, Inc.

What would people be interested to know about your company?

Tucker Associates is an independent representative agency focusing on hospitality and
multifamily, as well as LTC market in Canada. We pride ourselves in offering excellent
customer service and quality products to meet the most demanding budgets. We represent
Odyssey Wallcoverings, Renwil Hospitality, Tarrison Contract, Ratana Contract Furniture,
Master Fabrics, and Shademaker Umbrellas.

When you aren't working or at an NEWH event, where can we find you?

I do make some time for my family and my puppy as they bring me back to reality. You can
also find me at the rink playing hockey. It is another place where I have some great friends
and we share the competitive aspect of the game-and it is great exercise. ❙❘❚
