NHPCO 2010-12 Strategic Plan Infrastructure Area— Resource Development Goal: Develop a diversified resource engine. Objectives 1. Create and market a tiered range of member services designed to meet the diverse range of end-of-life care providers Key Initiatives a. Identify the range of services and needs of current members and non-members b. Catalog and evaluate the perceived value of current and potential products, services and programs offered by all NHPCO departments and affiliates c. Develop tiered benefits and packages to meet the needs of all end-of-life care a. Work with departmental/affiliate teams to develop a marketing plan b. Identify opportunities to package and cross-promote products and services a. Work to assure that the fund development goals of NHPCO are being supported by NHF 2. Develop an integrated marketing plan to promote all the programs and services offered by NHPCO and the affiliates to existing members and new audiences 3. Coordinate with NHF in the pursuit of fund development goals and objectives Current Activities to Support This Strategic Area • Develop a recruitment campaign to encourage new members in all categories of membership • Develop an annual membership renewal campaign for all categories of membership to include a staff telemarketing campaign • Work with the National Hospice Foundation for grant opportunities related to the strategic areas • Sell and increase advertising, exhibit space and sponsorships tied to annual conferences • Develop relationships with new vendors to increase non-dues revenue tied to these new relationships • Sell advertising in all NHPCO publications and web-based applications • Continue to market NHPCO Marketplace as the “one-stop shop” for end-of-life care products • Showcase Marketplace at NHPCO’s conferences and industry events
