NHPCO 2010-12 Strategic Plan The National Center for Care at the End of Life Home to NHPCO and its affiliated organizations, the National Center was established in 2008 to promote collaboration among hospice and palliative professionals, industry leaders, and partners working to lead and mobilize social change for improved care at the end of life. Goal: Develop and communicate the vision for the National Center as the nexus of thought and action for social change to improve access to quality end-of-life care. Objectives 1. Develop, support and sustain a framework for the National Center for Care at the End of Life as the epicenter for training, policy, leadership and the preservation of hospice values 2. Support the National Hospice Foundation in efforts to raise funds for the actualization of the National Center for Care at the End of Life building campaign Key Initiatives a. Develop a vision and goals for the National Center for Care at the End of Life b. Develop and implement a comprehensive communications/promotional strategy for the Center a. Develop and support activities that promote NHPCO stakeholder involvement in the building campaign
