Boasting the most beautiful location to date, the DDI Forum—Sonoma in September—will bring together the best and brightest of the retail design industry for an interactive, informative and inspirational event. As the longest-running event of its kind in the industry, the Forum covers topics and discussions of the most pressing issues among thought leaders in the retail design community. This year, speaker Todd Hale, senior vice president, consumer & shopper insights, The Nielsen Co., returns for another comprehensive economic review and forecast for the retail industry. Additional speakers include Bryan Yuji Walker and Beau Trincia, IDEO; Paco Underhill, Envirosell; and David Selinger, RichRelelvance. There also will be a retail panel discussion, moderated by Ken Nisch, JGA Inc., as well as various interactive and breakout group discussions. Additional speakers will be announced soon. The annual Portfolio Awards Dinner also will take place during the DDI Forum, honoring the industry’s best retail designers, companies and stores of the year. This year, attendees will visit Orchard Supply Hardware’s newest prototype store in Santa Rosa, Calif., for an exclusive behindthe-scenes tour. The final day of the Forum will conclude with a sumptuous wine tasting, where attendees can mingle, reflect and unwind, while taking in the breathtaking landscape of California wine country.
