In the hessnatur by Clodagh line, interchangeable pieces include shirt-dresses, leggings, camis, and trousers, all made from natural textiles in soft colors. With design and architecture in mind, Clodagh was inspired by the overwhelming lifestyle and time constraints many people have today. “I have pared the clothing down to a group of mutable pieces which can be combined to go to work, a yoga studio, or an evening date,” she says adding that close attention was paid to t, detail, and fabric for this spring/summer 2011 line. “What you wear is who you are. Where you live is who you are and the choices you make on where to eat and what hotel to stay in are all indicators, so I set out to design a collection to celebrate the wearer and make her feel good.”

roger milliken
1915-2010 Roger Milliken, head of Milliken and Company for 71 years, passed away on December 30th in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He was 95. In 1947, Milliken took control of the family business and subsequently created the world’s largest privately owned textile and chemical manufacturer in the world. Combining entrepreneurship, business acumen, environmental sensitivity, and a passion for education, Milliken saw his company grow from a handful of plants to 50 manufacturing facilities in seven countries.
