EDITOR’S NOTE Partnerships and Progression As we bid adieu to KBIS 2013 and look forward to the colocation of KBIS and IBS in Las Vegas next February, I hope you will find this issue of K+BB informative and insightful. We bring you the best of the best of KBIS in our post-show special section on pages 16-40. If you missed the show this year or just happen to want more detail on a particular event, this issue was designed just for you. And as summer is just a few weeks away and the weather is blossoming, so are the plans in the works for K+BB. We are planning to expand our content to include more projects with a “takeaway” for you, our readers. We will cover projects from all budget ranges with before-and-after photos, challenges and solutions, lessons learned, etc. We will feature projects with interesting angles; for example, those that incorporate sustainable elements and those that are ADA compliant. In helping you build a bigger and better business or just to improve on a certain facet, we will do our best to cover those important column topics, which include leadership advice, marketing and sales strategy, business management, inspiration and innovation tips, etc. We will also place more emphasis on people in the industry — promotions, new hires, events and awards. We are introducing an October issue this year, which will announce our Reader’s Choice Award winners and include a kitchen cabinet trends section, and we plan to add an eighth issue in 2014 to accommodate even more informative editorial content. I also welcome feedback on what you like about the magazine and/or which additional topics you may find useful and would like to see.
