East Regional A new Courtyard by Marriott hotel, the first majority Hispanic-owned hotel in the city, opened last month in Washington, D.C., according to Marriott International. Located in the city’s newly redeveloped NoMa neighborhood—a 35-block area of mixed-use development north of the U.S. Capitol—the new Courtyard Washington, DC/U.S. Capitol is owned by Miami-based Robert Finvarb Cos. It features eight stories, 218 rooms and 2,800 square feet of meeting space for conferences of up to 100 people. “We are very excited about the opening of this hotel and to be a part of the exciting revitalization of the NoMa area,” said Robert Finvarb Cos.
