newh congratulates Lyndall De Marco NEWH 2004 Woman of the Year Lyndall’s career has spanned senior roles in corporate management and in education. She currently oversees the IBLF’s Youth Career Initiative (YCI), Digital Partnership (DP), and International Tourism Partnership (ITP) programmes. As the former Corporate Director of Education for Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts, Lyndall administered the development of both a values based company culture and an education and management system to ensure business success across 11 countries. During her 16 years with Pan Pacific, Lyndall established four accredited hotel schools linked to international universities in Australia, Micronesia, Malaysia and Singapore. She was also General Manager of properties in Malaysia, Bangladesh and Borneo. A graduate in education, Lyndall has been a teacher in secondary schools, technical colleges, youth employment programmes and correctional centers. In 1994 she cofounded the Youth Career Development Program in Thailand and the Philippines, which has been recognized by UNAIDS as one of the ten best practices in the world for the prevention of AIDS. She has also established an Education Scholarship Fund through which program graduates can pursue further university studies.
