chapter ne ws IN BRIEF Arizona The chapter continues to volunteer monthly with the St. Vincent de Paul Family Dining Room in Phoenix, and 13 members of Arizona’s Air National Guard deployed in Iraq received more than 40 care packages from the holiday project. The following $1,000 scholarships were awarded this spring: Yeshiva Clark and Lacy Woolridge, Interior Design, Scottsdale Community College; and Veronica Pena, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Northern Arizona University. Atlanta Educational events included a sustainability panel on June 7 and an upcoming roundtable on July 26. Scholarships totalling $10,500 were awarded in May and an additional scholarship in Kaitlyn Jenkins’ honor for $2,380 will be distributed. In addition, the chapter hopes to net more than $12,000 at its golf outing fundraiser event for 2008 scholarships.
