Duralee announces multiple promotions: Lee Silberman is now executive vice president; Amy Silberman Benjamin is now senior vice president; John Wolfe has taken on the role of vice president of operations; Gary Rosenthal is now vice president of Duralee Contract; Larry McGovern is vice president of residential sales; and Robin Gordon will assume the title of vice president of marketing and advertising. Quinn Decker has been named president of Samuel Lawrence Hospitality. Ft. Lauderdale, Florida-based Id & Design International recently designed the 8,500square-foot Pinon Grill in Boca Raton, Florida. Bronze Pinon trees, synonymous with the South Western landscapes, were used as the iconic inspiration and feature. Bob and Penny Phillips of Edgecombe Furniture had a baby boy named Thomas Cole Phillips in January. Peggy Patterson, an employee with Walt Disney World Company since 1972 and a founding president of the NEWH Sunshine Chapter is retiring. WCI, Inc (Wholesale Commercial Interiors) is celebrating 20 years in the industry. In addition, the company has launched a newly designed website www.wci-inc.net; has hired Shelley Caba; senior designer Tiffany Wilkerson got engaged to Scott Weber; and team members have been volunteering with Dress For Success and Neighborhood House. Angela Reed has joined Eykon Design Resources as the Central Florida sales representative. Barbara Carlson and Gina Joyce have joined forces to form Dallas-based Carlson Joyce Interior Design. Kaydee Donovan recently joined Jim Hurley and Associates to handle Design Origins Carpet for Central and North Florida territories. Howard Baldinger, a fourth-generation lighting manufacturer, continues his family’s 117-year heritage with the launch of HB Architectural Lighting, Inc. Swarovski Lighting Business has two new reps: Diane Erich & Associates for the New England area and TS+ASSOCIATES for Southern California. Maggie Roncato of PI Creative Art will welcome her first grandchild in July. Katelin Connealy is now Humanscale’s regional A&D manager for Dallas, Houston, Minneapolis, Denver, and Chicago. The Sunshine Chapter announces two engagements: Marissa Henderson of Inland America Lodging Advisors is engaged to Christopher Colli, and Jeremy Gainey is engaged to Annie Hrncir. Lacey Keen has joined the OFS Brands team in the Atlanta showroom as resource market manager. OFS Brands also introduced the Loewenstein Quick Ship catalog, showcasing products that can be shipped in 12 days. MTS announces two promotions: Ian King to national sales manager of lodging and Jason Kurth to national account manager for New York, Chicago, Dallas, and Boston. The Carroll Adams Group opened their first International office in Manama, Bahrain, and has been awarded the Marriott Residence in Juffair-Manama, a resort in Nairobi, Kenya, and a boutique hotel in Manama. OW Lee was honored with the Manufacturer of the Year Award for 2010 at the ICFA reception in September. Lisa Potts of HG Art and Framing welcomed son Easton Michael Potts in November. Sunshine Chapter student rep Ann Knowles recently graduated Summa cum Laude from the International Academy of Design and Technology with a bachelor degree in interior design. Mason Contract’s national sales manager Cliff Frana welcomed his daughter Megan Ruth Frana in December. HGSTRIKER Hospitality Group has moved to Orlando. Designer Vikki Smyth introduced a line of podiums at the International Hotel, Motel + Restaurant Show in New York, including her environmentally conscious Hour Glass podium.
