Outward impact We asked designers to rate how beneficial of an impact they feel their firm has on the lives of clients, as well as on society at large. (1 being not beneficial, 10 being very beneficial.) When it came to clients, numbers held steady across the board. Regardless of size, designers generally felt their firms were having a positive impact on the lives of clients, giving an average score of 7.8/10. But when it came to how beneficial their firm's work was to society at large, those at bigger firms gave their employers higher marks. Designers at the largest firms (those with more than 250 employees) gave an average rating of 7.2/10, while those at the smallest shops (1-10 employees), gave an average rating of 6.1/10. 6.1/10 7.2/10 perspective 25
