Roundtable
MAYA JANCZYKOWSKA was born in Poland and
D.B. KIM, IIDA was born and raised in South Korea,
FEDERICO DELROSSO, IIDA opened his namesake
fi rm Federico Delrosso Architects in 1996 in
Milan, Italy. A former F3 race-car driver and
five-time recipient of Interior Design's Best of Year
Honors, Federico earned the distinction of being
named one of the "Top 10 Interior Designers That
Changed the World" by Home Edit Online. His
long list of international award-winning projects
includes the interior design of Notime restaurant
in Monte Carlo and the private Twin Loft luxury
residences in Milan.
MARI BALESTRAZZI is Vice President of Design for
Hyatt Hotels where she oversees design for Hyatt's
portfolio of full service brands in The Americas.
Prior to her role at Hyatt, Mari was Senior Vice
President of Design at Morgans Hotel Group,
Director of Design for St. Regis Hotels at Starwood
Hotels and Resorts, and Studio Director for Aero
Studios Limited where she oversaw new
construction and renovation for both private
residences and commercial projects, including 60
Thompson and Giorgio Armani's private
residence in New York. Mari has been honored to
receive several awards for design excellence
including Boutique Design Magazine's Designer
of the Year. Mari holds a Master in Architecture
from Harvard University and a B.A. in
Architecture from UC Berkeley.
moved to the north suburbs of Chicago as a child.
She has a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design
and a Master of Architecture from the School of
the Art Institute of Chicago. She is currently an art
and design manager at Urban Art Projects in
Singapore, a creative studio that collaborates with
artists, architects & designers to deliver creative
projects for the public realm. Previously, she's
worked at bKL Architecture and Perkins + Will,
both in Chicago, as a design consultant at Gensler
in Beijing and Bangkok, at Aedas in Bejing and
Shanghai, and at Architecture and Vision in Italy.

and immigrated with his mother and two siblings
to the United States. He has an MCAD in fi ne arts
in environmental design, and a Master's in
Architecture from SCI-Arc. He is currently Vice
President of Hospitality Design at the Wanda
Hotel Design Institute in Beijing, China.
Previously he was the hospitality design principal
at Daroff Design in Philadelphia, and at the PYR/
Pierre-Yves Rochon in Paris and Chicago, as well
as Vice President of Design for Starwood Hotels &
Resorts Worldwide.
