In The Price of Everything, filmmaker
Nathaniel Kahn (son of architect Louis
I. Kahn) pulls back the curtain on
the exorbitance and absurdity of the
contemporary art world where, above all
else, money is king. Through interviews
with famed art auctioneer Simon de Pury,
art critic Jerry Saltz, and artist Larry Poons,
viewers learn how today's artists must either
sell themselves to an avaricious art market
or choose to be exploited by it instead. The
documentary is now streaming on HBO Go
and HBO Now.
