All NAPVS members have websites at which to obtain information on their services. Simply click on the “Obtain a Passport” button to the left to get a full listing of members with links to their respective websites. The site provides door-to-door subway and bus directions and maps for New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, Washington, DC, New Jersey, Long Island, Boston, and the Metro North Railroad area. You can also search for restaurants, clubs, and attractions on the site which also allows users send directions by e-mail or text message to a cell phone directly from the website and get directions to, or the locations of, nearby subway and bus stops remotely on cell phones. ROAD READY www.tripprep.com This site is a comprehensive resource with recommended vaccinations, embassy listings, and crime advisories for 204 countries. (Information is culled from the state departments of the U.S., Canada, Australia, and the U.K.) Tips on local customs and transportation are also included. One caveat: the listings of doctors abroad are sparse for some countries.
