SIGNING A DIVIDED TRAIL It is not uncommon to find a divided trail in open fields where there may be a blind hill or in the woods where a stand of trees may have necessitated splitFIGURE 15 ting the trail to allow enough room for traffic to move in either direction. Divided trails should be signed as depicted in the diagram below. SIGNING FIELD GATES The preferred method is that field gates must be marked with an object marker on each side of the opening and in each direction.
