SOCIAL MEDIA GROWTH
Visit Orlando's social media channels serve as the voice of our
destination to visitors - past, present and future - and also
showcase new reasons for them to choose Orlando. Our
Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages, as well as our leisure
blog on the Visit Orlando website, were buzzing with activity
in 2016, as the team focused on two priorities:
1. Creating fresh, innovative content about the destination.
2. Engaging consumers to influence their vacation planning.
Our social media efforts generated record growth and engagement
levels with consumers on multiple channels. Facebook, especially,
continued to be a strong platform for spreading our messages, as
Visit Orlando's number of followers eclipsed 1.1. million.

The power of third-party endorsements continued to make us an attractive destination for visitors.
