Travis Rice's Natural Selection Tour lets Mother Nature take the lead.
On Day 1 of the Show, professional snowboarder Travis Rice announced the launch of the
Natural Selection Tour in 2021. It's billed as the first world class competition tour that will
combine the freeriding normally seen in ski and boarding flicks with the freestyle tricks endemic of the X Games. "We will be allowing Mother Nature to set up the course and nothing
else," Rice said. "Everything I have done in my life has led up to me launching this event."
The culmination of 12 years of work, the tour will have three stops in its first year, Jackson
Hole, Wyoming; Baldface Lodge in Nelson, British Columbia; and Tordrillo Mountain Lodge
in Alaska. The event will be live-streamed across numerous platforms. In addition to all the
action, the event will also highlight environmental concerns that are threatening the snowsports industry. -Hudson Lindenberger
