second annual Night
of Stoke is the official
closing party of the
Show. Guided by the
five points of purpose, respect, commitment, humility,
and balance, the organization is on a mission to inspire adventure,
connect generations through shared experience, engage passion with a conscience, and to educate through film. Beyond the
intellectual quotient, this promises to be one hell of a good time
with the ineffable Paddy O'Connell hosting and eco hip-hop artist
DJ Cavem performing from his album Biomimicz live with special
guests Alkemia Earth and DJ Check One. It all goes down tomorrow, June 20, at the Paramount Theatre, 1621 Glenarm Place, from

SHOW ORGANIZERS AND ATTENDEES ARE STEPPING
UP WHEN IT COMES TO ELIMINATING WASTEFUL AND
DESTRUCTIVE SINGLE-USE PLASTICS.
One thing that no one is going
to miss at Summer Market?
Single-use plastics. According
to the nonprofit Ocean Conservancy, every year, 8 million
metric tons of plastics enter
the ocean, and that's on top of
the estimated 150 million metric tons that currently circulate
in marine environments. The
outdoor industry has finally
decided enough is enough
when it comes to this easy-tocombat waste.
Nalgene, which set the standard for reusable wide-mouth
water bottles going back to
the 1970s, is the official Bottle of Summer Market 2019.
The company will supply all
showgoers in Denver with
one of the company's refillable BPA-free bottles at the
Show, sharing the message
of sustainability while reducing single-use plastics at the
Show-and after.

The Plastic Impact Alliance, the brainchild of Snews
(snewsnet.com) editor-in-chief
Kristin Hostetter and Catapult Creative Labs, is a rapidly
growing coalition of more than
200 brands that have committed to rejecting single-use
plastic bottles at Summer
Market (individuals can make
a similar pledge via the Plastic
Impact Promise).
"The excitement over this
alliance has been incredible. I
think we all just needed a kick
in the butt," says Hostetter,
who encourages brands to
also download the Alliance's
toolkit. "Brands are supporting
others brands-even competitors-with best practices
and discounts on drinkware
for events and donated water
bottles. I think we will see a
drastic reduction in plastic at
this show. And I'm excited to
see where it goes from here."
