The image comes from an assignment photographer Michael Clark shot for the now-defunct Bike magazine. " Bike was the magazine for the mountain biking industry, " says Clark. " If your images made it into the mag, you knew that they were up to par because legendary photo editor David Reddick saw everything in that genre. For the riders, it was a moment of fame.
