THE FAST LANE + Spotlight TSA PreCheck allows select Passengers to enjoy a quicker screening process. Check It Out! Southwest gets onboard with a new option for security. This year has been a big one for TSA PreCheck-and Southwest is getting in on the action! Many of our Customers have asked us to join this program, and we're happy to announce that, in partnership with the Transportation Security Administration and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, we began participating in TSA PreCheck last month. TSA PreCheck is a prescreening initiative that gives a select group of Passengers the ability to move through security checkpoints more efficiently and easily. Eligible participants, who are selected by the TSA, use dedicated screening lanes and enjoy benefits including the ability to leave on shoes, light outerwear, and belts, as well as the ability to leave laptops and 3-1-1 compliant liquids in carryon bags. Thanks to TSA PreCheck and Southwest's existing FlyBy® Priority Security Lane, the overall wait times and experiences at security checkpoints should improve for all Passengers, whether they qualify for TSA PreCheck or not. 164 SPIRIT DECEMBER 2013 Customers who are eligible to participate in PreCheck will be notified via their boarding pass, which will say "TSA PRE" in the topright corner. Business Select, A-List, and A-List Preferred Customers who don't see this indicator on their boarding passes can still utilize the FlyBy Priority Security Lane at participating airports. While TSA PreCheck is not available at all Southwest destinations yet, the TSA announced in September that it will expand TSA PreCheck lanes to additional airports, which means even more Customers will be able to benefit. We are thrilled to be able to offer this advantage to our Southwest Customers. Moving through security more quickly and efficiently definitely enhances the traveling experience, getting you to your gate-and, ultimately, your destination-a bit more quickly.
