Chatting with a
Frequent Flyer
What's your favorite airport?
Charlotte Douglas International. It's light and airy, and
you can get around easily. It
almost feels like a shopping
mall, with a range of restaurants and even some healthy
options. I also love passing by
the piano player in the
atrium.
Susan Pimentel, cofounder
of two nonprofit educational
organizations, always travels
with a sense of adventure.
Favorite place that you've
visited?

Hawaii. It's where I'm from
and where my grandkids live.
It's a long haul from my home in New
Hampshire, but Hawaii is exotic and full
of nature. That's why I love it.
Do you work, sleep, or relax during your flight?
What type of work do you do?
I work with school districts, states, and at the
national level to implement programs that
prepare students for college and careers. My
work focuses on helping school systems improve
on behalf of students.
How often do you travel for work?
I usually travel at least two to three times a
month. Destinations vary, depending on
conference locations or where educators come
together to learn and share ideas. I frequently
visit New York, Washington, DC, and Hawaii.

What destination is at the top of your bucket list?
I would love to go on a safari in South Africa
or visit the Egyptian pyramids.
If you could sit next to any person on a plane, who
would it be?
The Dalai Lama. He seems so at peace
with life.
What is your favorite Dividend Miles perk?
The upgrades are lovely! I love that
US Airways proactively works to reroute
me if my flight is canceled. On trips where
I'm scheduled to speak, it's good to know that
the airline is committed to getting me where I
need to be.
Window or aisle?
It depends. If I'm traveling at night, I prefer
the window so I can sleep. Any other time, I
like the aisle so I can get up and move around
without disturbing anyone.

This month, as we continue down our path of integration with
American Airlines, we're working to rebrand each US Airways Club
to an Admirals Club® and will offer access to nearly 60 Admirals
Club locations worldwide.
Work, work, and work! The flight gives me
quiet time to concentrate that I don't get very
often. I bring extra batteries for my laptop. In
fact, I just bought a 10-hour battery for those
long flights.
