At Creek Ranch, you get neither — but you will get a one-of-a-kind experience. by Alisson clark Creek Ranch may be close to Orlando’s theme parks, but the characters you’ll find here aren’t from the world of Disney. Instead, there’s Donald the cowboy, who sports Wranglers and a belt buckle the size of a cake plate, and Sticky Steve, a naturalist nicknamed for his interest in beekeeping. Presiding over it all is Jim Black, a good-natured Atlanta native who knows and loves Clockwise from top left: on the range, oranges, bridge on Alligator Hole, and one of the ranch’s 400 cattle ★ every inch of this 1,400-acre ranch and loves sharing it with visitors even more. Black grew up visiting his grandparents here, spending summers and holidays helping out with ranch work, fishing, and exploring the idyllic estate.
