While the Grand Canyon is the state's largest
attraction, nature lovers will also want to experience the White mountains, boasting a "peak season" year-round. An elevation of 8,500 feet makes
the area ideal for hiking, mountain biking, and
camping amid pine forests and alpine lakes. Keep

Arizona's vibrant landscape sets the scene
for adventure of all kinds. Its most identifiable landmark - the Grand canyon - carves
through nearly 300 miles in the northwest corner
of the state. At a depth of more than a mile, you
can feel the magnitude of the canyon from head to
toe, whether you're peering over the rim or rafting
on the Colorado River.
Travel south to see the red rocks of Sedona,
hike its many trails, and explore the area's mysterious vortexes. Arizona is home to major vortex sites,
like boynton canyon,
where energy is believed to spiral and
promote inspiration
and healing. The
popular six-mile Boynton Canyon hike also
affords great red-rock
views. Not an outdoorsman? Then check out
Sedona's art galleries
(more than 80!) and
eclectic shops (think
cactus jellies and
Western boots).
The southern part
of the state is home
to the Wild West. In
Tombstone, visitors
can watch daily reenactments of the showdown
that inspired Gunfight at the O.K. Corral.
But you can easily turn rough and rowdy into
relaxed and refined at Tucson's world-class destination spas including canyon ranch and miraval.
Head to Arizona's western border and dive into
fun at Lake Havasu, the "Jet Ski Capital of the
World." Its sparkling waters offer legendary watersports - and a history lesson. You'll find the original London Bridge here, imported from halfway
