Chatting with a Frequent Flyer Ashley and Brittany Hill at mount rushmore How did you get started with this job? AsHley: A smile goes suCH A long WAy. Ashley: Our grandparents bought us a Power Wheels Jeep when we were kids. Brittany drove us around everywhere. When we both went to Arizona State University, our Jeep Wrangler became something we could identify with. It’s about the freedom to climb any obstacle. Brittany: When I got my first job out of school in New York, I found myself going back out west to visit Ashley, and we’d rent a Jeep on our adventures. It was a sense of familiarity. Ashley decided she wanted to do something with that and the Jeep — to be outside and travel around. With my background in news and hers in communications, it led to us representing something we believe in. How often do you travel? Brittany: For the most part, from September to April we travel twice a week, spending about five days in a foreign city. It’s mostly spontaneous, so we don’t know where we’re going to be until a few days or weeks before. What’s your favorite airport? Brittany: Sky Harbor here in Phoenix. Brittany: We fly into Grand Junction or Durango to get there, which are both awesome. Any cities on your bucket list? Ashley: We really want to explore different national parks — just to see the landscape unfold in front of us. Brittany: We’re very outdoorsy people, obviously. Ashley just went to Alaska in November with our mom to see the northern lights, and I keep hearing that I’m missing out. Who would you want to sit next to on a flight? Brittany: I think it’s pretty neat when you see people coming home from having been away on military duty. I don’t know many people in the service, so it’s nice to be able to say thank you. Window or aisle? Ashley: I love the aisle, because I’m that person who always has to get up and use the restroom. Brittany: I prefer the window. I’m a photographer at heart; that’s what I studied in school. I’ve taken a nonstop flight from Philly to Phoenix just staring out the window.
