Thank You for
Flying with US
New Inflight Upgrades
#
As I travel around our
network, I meet a lot
of customers. They often
give me tips and suggestions about how we can
make the airline better, and
I’m always interested in
their perspective. One
thing we all share is a desire
to have a healthy snack or
fresh meal onboard the
aircraft, and I think you’ll
be pleased to know we just
introduced some great new
offerings that will make
your international travels
more enjoyable, comfortable, and convenient.
If you’re traveling in Economy internationally,
you’ll now receive complimentary headsets to stay
entertained during the flight. We’ve also enhanced
our meal service by offering complimentary wine
with your main meal. If you’re seated in the main
cabin and looking to treat yourself, we also offer
DineFresh — a premium chilled meal that includes dessert and a paired wine. DineFresh meals,
which launched on eastbound flights last August,
must be preordered and are now available on select
westbound flights to Philadelphia and Charlotte.
DineFresh offers premium meals when flying internationally in
Economy. The marinated lime chicken breast selection is one of several
DineFresh options now available on westbound transatlantic flights.
When you make your reservation on usairways.com,
you’ll see the DineFresh option for those flights
with this dining availability.
If you’re flying in Envoy, US Airways’ international business class, we want to be sure you arrive
to your destination refreshed, relaxed, and ready
to do business. Whether you’re traveling on our
new flight from Charlotte to Heathrow, or on
our Philadelphia to Shannon, Ireland, flight that
launched last month, you’ll now enjoy US Airways’
award-winning wines in new stemless wineglasses.
To help you relax during your flight, we’re
introducing our refreshed Envoy amenity kit in
July. We’ve teamed up with Red Flower, a New
York–based, eco-friendly beauty and lifestyle
brand, to offer passengers a soft bag filled with
botanical products including Ocean moisturizing
body lotion, Italian Blood Orange lip balm, and a
facial towelette with essential oils. The kit will also
include socks, eyeshades, earplugs, tissues, a pen,
toothbrush, toothpaste, and mouthwash.
We’re also making a few enhancements for
those traveling throughout the U.S., Canada,
Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean.
If you’re traveling in First Class, you’ll notice your
meals will be served on new modern china. And
if you’re flying coast-to-coast, you’ll be happy to
know that we’ll be introducing a snack basket in
addition to your meal. Customers leaving the West
Coast and traveling to the East Coast on a red-eye
flight will also receive a continental-style breakfast
that includes a yogurt smoothie, croissant, almond
butter, jam, and a mint.
We hope that all of these improvements will
elevate your travel experience and make your flight
more comfortable. Whether your travels take you
near or far this summer, on behalf of our 32,000
employees I’d like to thank you for flying with us
today. We hope to see you on a future flight soon.
