Window or Aisle? engage Chatting with a Frequent Flyer President and CEO of VISIT PHILADELPHIA™ Meryl Levitz shares her favorite places in the city... and around the globe. How often do you travel? Twice a month on average, and my trips vary from quick meetings in New York City and Washington, DC, to longer international trips to promote our city's treasures. What are your favorite destinations? As Audrey Hepburn once said, "Paris is always a good idea." I also love Chicago, Barcelona, the Adirondacks, and the small towns of Mexico. For vacation, it depends on what kind of vacation I'm looking for - active or relaxing. I love a city rich in history and culture, and I always shop for the work of local artisans. Meryl's Travel Tip: I ALWAYS TRY TO PACK THE MINIMUM NEEDED FOR A COMFORTABLE TRIP. If you could pack only three items, what would you choose? A nice, cozy wrap, a comfortable outfit for exploring, and some of my favorite tea. That's assuming I already have my phone and iPad, which are never far away. What Philadelphia spots do you recommend for visitors? Do I have to choose? That's the toughest question I get. For first-timers, our mostvisited attractions are must-dos - Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and the Rocky steps (and the gorgeous Philadelphia Museum of Art at the top). Of course, there's a scene for every type of traveler: art all over, plentiful parks, music festivals, sidewalk cafes and beer gardens, personality-packed neighborhoods, sports all year long, and restaurants for every craving. As a former English major, I also recommend the Rare Book Department at the Free Library of Philadelphia, housing Shakespeare's First Folio, and the Rosenbach Museum, which is a destination for Maurice Sendak lovers all over the world (including Stephen Colbert). Window or aisle? I prefer the window because I'm a cloud and sky watcher. Are you a US Airways frequent flyer with an interesting story to tell?
