C L AS S O F 2 017 HEALTH CARE HEROES MAY RECOGNITION Congratulations to nursing students Kalin Lapp and Erica Shoesmith, recipients of the 2017 Health Care Heroes awards presented by Central Penn Parent. In recognition of their contributions to the quality of health care in Central Pennsylvania, Kalin received the Future of Health Care award and Erica received the Volunteer Hero award. On May 23, spring graduates gathered with their faculty to celebrate their accomplishments and reflect on the careers that lay before them. The evening included a presentation and reception to follow. NUCLEAR MEDICINE AWARD WINNERS Congratulations to Tiffany Scholz, Bradford Whitson and Allison Shike from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Program for receiving awards in the Student Papers Competition at the Greater New York Chapter of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging's Spring Symposium! Tiffany and Bradford received first place and a $300 prize for their research abstract entitled "Summed Difference Score and Heart Catheterization." Allison received third place and a $100 prize for her research abstract entitled "Nuclear Medicine Technologist Radiation Exposure with Generator vs. Unit Dose Radiopharmaceuticals." 14 inPractice | SUMMER 2017
