What a difference a few months - and one
pandemic - can make. Though forced upon us,
COVID-19 has resulted in changes to teaching and
learning that have become our new reality: "Zoom"
technology for conducting classes and meetings,
coupled with artificial intelligence as a backdrop for
counselors to engage with prospective students and
for advisors to guide new and continuing learners.
As I look to the future, I know that we will emerge
a stronger community, for we have demonstrated
our resilience, a strong commitment to quality
education, and a dedication to the communities we serve. We have learned that, when
faced with unprecedented realities, we are not deterred by the unknown but instead
respond with the commitment to education for which we are recognized. Although our
College Community will never be the same, I look forward to our "new normal" and all
the creativity and innovation that comes along with it.
