Bicycling, motorcycling, boating, family and four dogs fill
Chip Sernyak's time when he isn't working or involved
in leading Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences'
Board of Trustees as its Chair. Chip is father to two sons
and lives in West Chester. He and his wife Audrey, a
cardiologist who currently serves as Program Director for
the Cardiology Fellowship program at Christiana Care
in Delaware, also have a vacation home on Maryland's
Eastern Shore. " We love that area. We're there every
chance we get, " he says. " We go boating, kayaking and
have paddle boards. " The four dogs are evenly divided
with two German shorthairs and two Vizslas. " Vizslas are
known as 'Velcro' dogs because they're so affectionate, and
mine definitely fit that mold, " he says with a smile.
As a bicyclist, Chip takes long rides with a friend.
He's ridden in Utah, Wyoming, Virginia, New York,
Pennsylvania and has done a bike trek from Denver to
Vail, Colorado-a full 250-mile round trip. Perhaps his
most memorable bike ride was a 2009 trip to Europe for
